West Tallahatchie Choctaws Set to Dominate 2025 Football Season with Grit, Pride, and Purpose

CLARKSDALE, MS — The West Tallahatchie Mighty Choctaws are locked in and fired up for the 2025 football season, boasting a fierce schedule packed with intense matchups, community spirit, and an unyielding drive for victory.

Led by Head Coach Shane Hargett, the Mighty Choctaws are ready to make a statement this fall under the Friday night lights. With a dynamic blend of veteran leadership and rising talent, West Tallahatchie is focused on making each game a battle and each play count.

The action begins August 29 at home against M.S. Palmer, setting the tone for a hard-hitting season. The Choctaws then hit the road for a matchup against West Bolivar on September 5, followed by another home showdown versus Thomas E. Edwards on September 12.

Coach Hargett is joined by Assistant Coach Lorenzo Pimpton, guiding the team with discipline, heart, and a championship mentality. The program is supported by Principal Damian Collins, Superintendent Dr. Tony Young, and an athletic director soon to be announced.

Wearing the proud Green & White, the Choctaws charge into the season with grit, pride, and a community behind them. The thunder of Choctaw Nation will be heard loud and clear all season long.

Coahoma County Red Panthers Unveil Action-Packed 2025 Football Schedule

CLARKSDALE, MS — The Coahoma County High School Red Panthers are locked, loaded, and ready to roar into the 2025 football season with a powerful schedule that promises electrifying matchups, hometown pride, and relentless competition.

Under the leadership of Head Coach Jeremiah Brassell, the Red Panthers are poised to light up Friday nights this fall with a slate of must-see games.

This year’s schedule kicks off August 29 on the road against Simmons. From there, the Red Panthers return home on September 5 to face rival Clarksdale in what’s expected to be a high-energy showdown.

  • September 19 – Travel to Humphrey County
 
  • September 26 – Hit the road again to take on  Rosa Fort
 
  • October 3 – HOMECOMING vs Leflore County

Coach Brassell is joined by a strong coaching staff including Latarius O’Neal, Christopher Mullins Jr., and Eugene Taylor. With Athletic Director Mckinley Scott, Principal Tyinika Shaw, and Superintendent Dr. Virginia Young backing the program, Panther Nation is ready to raise the bar.

The school colors are Red & White and the fierce Red Panther mascot is leading the charge.
